if you want your 597 to wok well use good ely or lapua ammo and change the extractor  to a voquatzeen one and it should work away , had one loved the look and feel of it but its nowhere near as good as a 10 22 for rellibilty 

it will be fun

Thanks lad. Yeah it was built by Dominic Byrne of Dom's Custom Rifles here in Wexford, he produces some of the best rifles in the country. The barrelled action was sent to EDI Graef of PSE Composites for the stock to be inletted for a T3 and to be bedded. The results are what I think is the perfect varminting rifle

i got for off the 6 greys they were back eating a lamb sat back at 150 yards the 17 did a mighty job.

sorry i meant grey crows , destroyed 4 lambs this am , ill be using my 17 hh and a air arms s410 for any close up ,,
