shrek
vernier caliper mate, just "guesstimate" the center of the bore, and measure it to the center of the scope
Alycidon
Half the scope tube diameter plus half the bolt diameter plus the distance between the two, I think that gets you in the ball park. Personally I use Shreks method !! A

menial 1
Put your cleaning rod into the barrel through your bore guide and measure to the middle of the eyebell, then deduct half the diameter of the rod. Not exact to the micron but near enough for me. Pete.
Foxshooter
On my remmys I measure from the vent hole in the action to the split in the mount rings. Obviously this depends on what type of rings you have, LOL Mark Put your cleaning rod into the barrel through your bore guide and measure to the middle of the eyebell, then deduct half the diameter of the rod. Not exact to the micron but near enough for me.Pete.
dwight
A: measure scope objective dia then divide by 2. B: measure gap between the bottom of scope objective and top of barrel under scope objective. C.measure width of barrel under scope objective and divide by 2. Add A,B,C together and that is your scope height.
