Buying from Germany

deadcenter

Recommended Posts

I've noticed a few folks mentioning buying loading components, bullets etc, from Germany. Forgive my ignorance, but what places do you use please?

Are there any pitfalls or anything to be weary of.

Thanks for any advice.

While we're still in the EU, it's just like buying from the UK but with typically more expensive shipping. With the pound to euro rate the way it is, there's not much in the way of savings right now but you may find the odd thing that's not stocked here.

I've had stuff from here in the past...

eGun.de is the German equivalent of Ebay for shooting and hunting stuff.

As with Ebay look for sellers with good feedback and those that will ship outside of Germany, Versand innerhalb der EU (EU wide shipping)

I use a few sellers on a regular basis, WR1995 (W R Schiesssport) and Schütze in Germany and Hunting-Sport S.a.r.l. in Luxembourg.

Payment is by direct bank transfer, I use https://transferwise.com/ they give the actual market rate and only charged £2.19 for the transfer.

The last order I placed to Schütze was for 2,000 Hornady .30 168 Match bullets, got here in 4 days including a weekend.

Most of the bullets I buy are a lot cheaper than they are here even with the poor exchange rate, shipping is around €15 for 1000 (11Kg) or €30 for 3,000 (33kg)
