baldie
Been pestering Col for this for some time now..... After seeing what my friend bought as the suppressor for his AX at over £500 , I asked for a proper one making. The factory unit is alloy and is made only for the 338 bore diameter....and it aint quiet. Its quiet enough....but its not efficient on a .308. Colin made me this. It came bead blasted. I,ve given it a coat of Cerakote and added the company runic raven logo [mine ] The mod is stainless steel and a sealed unit. I can't see the point of strippable mods in stainless.....nothings going to rot, and its just something else to go wrong. I like the KISS principle. The mod weighs about the same as a Jet-z and is about the same length if a little fatter. It fits over the AI brake and secures on the front thread via a L/H thread. No more loose mods. As you can see, there are ports inside to allow the brake to work still. The effect of this is that the mod really does slow recoil.....far more than the brake alone. I,ve just been down to the wood and fired a few rounds. Suffice it to say, its just like all Colins mods , bloody quiet. Hopefully get a few rounds through it on the range tomorrow. MrCetrizine
People at my club can't believe how quiet my .300 AAC is even with supersonics using my OLC AS. With subs it sounds like an air rifle, cycling the bolt is louder than the shot.
