JC275
Anyone know how much work would be involved in making a Sako 85 fit in a McMillan stock designed for a 75? the action length is correct. Thanks, JC
Guest dasherman
I've done a 85 into a 75 Mcmillan and would definatly quote a larger number for the job in the future. The bottom metal, hole pitch and recoil lug are different. You need a front pillar with a slot in it for the tiny recoil lug on the 85 and a whole lot of fine tuning to get the action into the right position. I saw a stock for sale on the stalking directory and wondered if it could be used without an enormous ammount of work. Cheers, JC
