Delta Stryker 5-50x56 it is the absolute best i have used, as good if not better IMHO than NF and the rest of the top brands.

i do not home load i am afraid i use 147grn Hornady ELD, your point on accuracy hits the note, i use a Fieldshoot with a 24" heavy barrel.

In my thoughts hitting a 12"sq metal plate at a 1000 yds is acceptable i just fancy going a bit further and a bit tighter.

If i am wrong just let me know please.

Hello guys a bit of advice please, i have a 6.5CM by Sauer, i am looking at shooting out to 1,000yds so i ask will i have any benefit in going with either a 7mm rem mag or a 300 win mag

The 6.5 is good but i just need to ask will i have much more power from these 2 calibres.

Any views or help will be much appreciated.

Hi guys I bought a Sauer Fieldshoot back in September 19, I have never been totally happy with the gun, I bought it from Ivythorn sporting (Steve and Louis have been fantastic and given great service) but I feel the bolt has always been scratchy and stiff when entering a round, I sent it to be Blacked and Jeweled and it looks the broccoli but even greased up it's still not smooth as I would expect.

The bolt was also blacked at the same time, as soon as I tried the bolt in the chamber it has scratched the Blackening off.

Any ideas please

I'm new to this forum BUT I have had 6.5x55 for over 15 years mainly styer manlicher but I switched in Feb 19 to a 6.5 creedmoor using 139grn home loads and it's a Sauer field shoot and at 750 yds my longest I can practise on its hands down a better group, smoother in a 24" barrels I may also add but I love this gun
