  1. Apparently there is an App called imazing on the app store which will transfer apps from one I phone to another

The only place you can still download Strelok pro is the Galaxy store if you have an android phone or the Huawei  store if you have one of their phones

It has been removed from the PLay store and the App store.

  2. I help a friend with pest control on a regular basis and Rabbits are the main thing he does, I use a .223 with a 40vmax which does the job very well out to and beyond 300 yards, I use a Tikka CTR and just head shoot them, not much left of it afterwards but it's a clean kill, I also use FAC air and a 17hmr ( My least favourite rifle, if someone said you have to cut one of your rifles up with a angle grinder it would be that one ) also .22LR It depends on noise and proximity to buildings as to what I use, all effective though.

  3. Once you have one in your Hands it make perfect sense to have everything built in to the Scope, I'm with Bruce on this. I was out the other evening with the DS35 not mounted to a Rifle just Hand held, I could clearly see Hares out past 400 yards, Then discovered you can Spot and flood the beam by pulling in and out, Something that I didn't see in Chris Parkins review,

and I have to disagree with that review saying the the onboard IR is only good for 150 metres, I could quite happily Id and shoot a Fox @ 250 - 300 yards with the onboard IR, If anything it's too powerful close in at say 40 yards, So if your a Ratter with a Air rifle maybe just a good old T20 LED based torch would be enough and give a clearer Image.

I have yet to test the Ballistic calculator, but I'm sure it will work fine, it's just a case of entering the correct data. I bought this to go on a FX Impact M3.25 FAC Air rifle and it will be perfect for that, in the meantime I will stick it on my 22.250 too see what it's like on a Rifle. I have looked through enough NV units to know it's Pretty good value for Money, even if it does look like the Star ship enterprise:)

Yes, Lovely Rifle and on my list, My mate bought a .30 Cal one based on my recommendation, He wanted a FX Impact, but knowing what a techophobe he is< i said get the RAW it will work straight out of the box with no tinkering.

Hi Montey , Are you using the Dragonfly  ? Most IR's are fine to 250 yards but i tend to setup where i can see foxes coming in from distance and this can be 5-600 yards .... It's not about shooting them at this distance but clearly seeing them which my copy of the Dragonfly will do with the 15x .

A friend on here did mention about the batteries and i found certain makes will throw the light better .

Still hoping that someone has bought the upgrade from Clive Ward and can say what the thought on the difference It made  .

5-600 yards is easily achievable with a Sirius Xtl I use this torch over all the others on myDrone x15 done extensive testing with the Drone because I’m always making mounts for them.

I have a Dragonfly which is a dirty light, but also at least with my Drone is too powerful the Drone camera starts shuttering down because it’s too bright, so of limited benefit, I much prefer the clean light of the Sirius Xtl the diffused model works a treat.

For the interest of research, I will replace the laser in the Dragon fly with a VCSEL laser, to see if it’s clearer

The mk3 is a fantastic tool but there are reliability reports problems with leaks ect , my mk. 2 will nearly do the same power and has less to go wrong

That's why the Rapid platform is so popular, it only has a few o rings, I have a Rapid MFR I bought new in 2003, other than 1 bottle o ring it's completely standard and untouched, British engineering at it's finest.

  7. I have a .30 cal FX Bobcat, its really good been using it helping a mate with his pest control business, we are doing a College sports ground where its a built up area, people walking Dogs etc, but with a silenced air rifle ,no one knows your there.

I also have a Modified Rapid mk2 in .20 and its the most accurate air rifle I've used. I have 22LR when I need it, but there is something about an Air rifle. Quite fancy getting a Mk3 Impact

  8. I Have looked through a lot of Thermal rifle scopes over the years, pretty much all the top end stuff including a GCSI 75mm 640 sensor which retailed at £14k and nothing i have seen tops the Senopex A7 I'm sure there is some Military stuff that's maybe better but it's not available to us. For the money I thinks it's unbeatable, that's why it's not in stock and sold out. trust me it's taken a long time to wean me off a Drone, I have 3 of them but will never sell just in case.......

  9. I shoot a Tikka CTR in .223 using 40gr Vmax, I have 2 mates that have the .204both rifles are very capable, but I choose .223 over .204 because of the availability of ammunition

and the versatility of the calibre, mine is 1:8 twist and it shoot's 40Vmax just fine Despite everyone saying otherwise, it is my go to foxing round because it's cheap to load for and odes the job great, but should I want to go and do a bit of long distance it also shoots 77TMK's just as well, If you look at the choice of the Bullet alone if you reload, then really it's a no brainer, My friend has had 39 Blitzkings on order now for getting on 4 months with no sign of any turning up, but .there is  plenty of .223 about even if it's not quite what you want.

both great rounds, but .223 is more practical than the .204 in my opinion.

  10. How high does your Scope sit above the bore line?  the higher the scope sits above the bore line then the further between the 2 zeros but seeing as most people are obsessed with the scope being as close to the bore line as possible then this would  reduce the distance between the 2 zeros

So with a 40 grain Vmax doing 3800fps using my x15 Drone pro Zeroed  at 60yards and Scope height above bore line of 2.75 inches the 2nd Zero is 260 yard and 2.4 inches low @300 yards the highest point between the 2 zeros is 2.1 inches

I set mine up using the MPBR method, for instance if you zeroed your rifle nearer , say 60 yards, then the 2nd zero would be further out but your bullet would be higher between those 2 points , but as long as you know exactly what your bullet does at a given distance ( I do ) then using a rangefinder you can make a slight adjustment for the shot, In my case a Rabbit at 200 yards my bullet would be 1.8 inches high, so I would aim at at the bottom of its head, it's a tried and tested method  I have used for years, I'm out 3-4 times a week helping my mate who is a pest controller who specialises in Rabbit control, so we use all means to control them.

  11. I use the same setup with Strelok pro on my Android Bruce, takes about 5 minutes to measure and input all the data, providing you don't enter rubbish , you get very accurate data out of it. I'm out on Sunday setting up a keepers NV for MBPR

My own Ward thermal is zeroed at 80 yards with a 2nd zero of 270yards, so point and shoot to 300 which is more than good enough.
