Thanks, bought the mag to see the results and would you believe it there's an advert for eley subs on the same page!

My rfd will only get win or fiocchi subs in, not enough demand for match stuff. Looks like I'll have to wait till the midland to test my rifle with anything else.

I havent forgotten about this thread, and i will update it once i get some decent ammo to test but I'm still waiting on my RFD to get some TENEX and SK standard in for me to try!

That SK group is half the size of the other two browndog. What rifle are you using?

1. When changing between ammo types, the gun may need several shots of the new stuff before consistency is achieved.

Is that to do with the coating?

Is that the same with centre fires too?

Totally agree with you BA, nothing is quite as fun as shooting a .22 rimfire. Must be the quietness or maybe the very low cost.

Also, I know every rifle is different but I just wanted a rough idea of what people find the best in their rifles, might save new a few quid and time by not testing crap. Then again maybe my old cz might like crap!!

OK thanks, I'll have a chat with my RFD and see what he can get and costings.

General consensus is eley subs, cci or SK standard are the ones to try. Oh and if you can afford it, TENEX!

Just checked henry krank, £20.50 per 100. Cheaper than hmr and hopefully I'll get a bit off at my local!

BD I mainly shoot targets or go for head shots so solids are'nt a problem.

I've decided to sell my hmr as its simply not getting any use since I bought my .204.

As such I'm looking to improve my .22, I would like some advice on which subsonic ammo is best.

ie something similar to eley TENEX in subsonic form if there is such a thing?

If not then I guess I'll have to test all the different brands.
