Not the same bolt face though, depending on the original bolt tolerances the new cartridge might be loose

Actually had this conversation with a ‘smith I use. He once measured every 6.5x55 he had in stock. They all measured exactly the same as the 30-06 etc bolt faces on any other rifle he measured.
However that said I have a different shell holder in the press a no3 rather than the usual no2 used for 30-06 etc.

But my Sauer 202 is designed to take anything from 6.5x55 to 9.3x62 (iirc) all on the same bolt. So I don’t think you have anything to worry about using a T3.

Same question from 10 years ago - seems like the 0.006 extra width of the swede bolt face isn't likely to be a drama. Interesting conjecture that some Swedes may actually be built on .473 bolts these days.

Is there one knife for bushcraft and would do a deer from field to plate or is that asking to much

You could use a decent size penknife if you put your mind to it. However would you be entirely happy with presentation? Possibly not.
There’s a reason why boning knives etc were developed to have different shapes and amounts of flex.
That said you can manage with a decent size knife but it’s probably not going to be ideal

  3. I used to work on a 24,000 bird poulty farm. As you can imagine we had a few rats. Bait is useless unless all other food is removed, bait only ever went after feed troughs were empty. fenn traps or nipper type work but leaving them unset but baited as already said is the way to go.

What hasn't been mentioned but if still available is Tracking dust, a powdered poison. Rats are not the filthy animals most people think, they spend alot of time grooming. Which is where the Tracking dust works, you sprinkle it on the runs the rats ingest it by cleaning themselves.

  4. What a load of dribble , some of you guys have turned into a bunch of girls , to me I prefer a non SS , as they capable of holding an edge better , and you know what , knife is for cutting , so better edge is where it is for me ,

As to rusting , its not a bloody big GPMG , its a small simple shape , either wipe a bit of oil on it now & then , or paint it .

Also , to be it has to be value for money , because at the end of the day its still just a knife , its not a pistol , rifle or shotgun .

So when price gets to be close to the price of a Glock , ie 250 GBP , its crazy , so for same money , I can have a Glock or a rambo knife , MMmmmm , which will I chose , hint it isn't the knife .

So much over 30-50 GBP , and its way way over priced for me .

    Later Chris
