oal guage

I have been given a lock and load oal guage,will a modified case for a 223 give the correct seating depth for my 223 ackley or will i need a modified case made to fit this rifle,and if i do where could i get one made

One idea is to take a fireformed AI case to a machine shop and ask them to thread it same as your standard 223 case.

 

Or ...do you have a mate with a `hobby lathe ` ?? should be a piece of cake to drill and tap.

 

Or...bin the gauge and cut the neck down past the shoulder junction of a AI case and use that for exact measurement results.

This way has been proved to be more accurate than an AOL gauge. it is well documented on this site previously i think.
