That bald headed Geordie
Hi gents, has anyone ever purchased propellant from an RFD and had it posted/courier to your home address? And if so, was there a 'standard' charge per kg? Finally, I have contacted 2 RFDs but they have no facility to despatch as above, so can anyone provide the name of any RFD/RFDs that have. Cheers
lenteped
Hi Baldie, I recently bought some from Sporting Supplies. They charged £15 for shipping powder and primers, which, given that their prices are keen, aint too bad. Craig was very helpful. www.sportingsupplies.co.uk 01922406777 Regards, Jon
Laurie
Henry Krank used to have a flat rate £25 charge for explosives when they first got Ramshot powders irrespective of the amount. But life had become both harder and more expensive in the Hazmat transport business over the last year or two. Here is what the Krank wesbite says now: ALL RAMSHOT POWDERS ARE BACK IN STOCK AS OF 30.10.2017 IMPORTANT delivery information - please read. All Ramshot powders are REACH compliant. Delivery prices from £14.40 - please call for more information. 'Edinburgh Rifles' on the Stalking Directory, is a Scottish RFD who is into the powder supply business and is looking to do a bulk purchase right now for pre-ordered stuff. He's not quoted a carriage charge so far as I can remember, but made a contribution to a current live thread thread about an outfit in Scarborough which is moving premises and decided to flog off all of its powders at cost price as it won't be stocking this sort of line post move and who quoted £65 carriage per consignment. 'Edinburgh Rifles' says £45 per consignment is more typical these days. The Yorkshire outfit has replied saying that since the nearest Hazmat authorised / equipped haulage depot is some fair distance away in the Leeds area, the carrier has to send a van out to the coast specially and so £65 is the lowest quote they'll give. That bald headed Geordie
Hi Saddler. I was told of a local RFD (Bowtec) that could get hold of it at reasonable cost, so have a 3.5kg tub plus bullets arriving on Friday. Thanks to all who took the time to reply.
