Guest northernchris
Yep road legal but not cheap and they make a din on the road but 1 of the best comp tyres i have ever used.
Guest varmartin
Had a set of x4 Greenway Big Macho`s fitted to my Patrol yesterday...Not tried them yet but will do soon and will post how they perform. They are road legal, and not very noisy as the compound feels fairly soft. The size is 31x10.5x15 Had a very good price too.....£205 fitted Martin

Alycidon
A slight digression from the original thread but my Navara is about due some new boots and was wondering what the michelin 4x4 a/t was like. I only ask coz I'm a tight Yorkshireman and the local tyre place has a 25% off michelin tyres thing going on at the moment! I had Michelin 4x4s on my 200 Disco all its life (273,000 when I sold it). They do between 60,000 & 66,000 miles on road providing you treat them fairly. Off road they are fine in the dry or damp but do get found out in mud or when trying to get up a slippy bank. Guest 308Panther
I got Michelin LTX A/T's on Angels' Ford Explorer now. Ride nice on pavement, quiet, decent wet pavement traction. Havent done any serious off roading with it...but they handled the light stuff pretty good.Havent run them thru a winter yet....This will be the first winter for them.Expecting them to do pretty good in snow covered streets.Got them from the tire sevice we use on our tractor/trailer rigs. And mangaged to save about $30/tire because our shop does so much volume. I see they were discontinued and Michelin has an LTX A/T2. Had Kelly Safari L/T on it before...those weren't too bad either. Carcass/casing could be made abit heavier duty.Seemed to puncture easily once they get 3/4's wore out and dont repair well.....Tried to plug one and that turned into a big mess, had to break it down and use a patch plug from the inside. 308Panther
