  1. Mine is from 1903. I use reformed 30-30 and a lead bullet i had Tom at accurate molds cut specially for me. The bullet is a stop ring design or a heeled bullet if you will. All the drive bands are ,321" and the front band is .332". This means that the bullet wont "drop" down the case under recoil in the mag tube and i can reload indefinitely without sizing because the pressure are in BP territory. I load 14,2 grains Vv N110 with a tuft of dacron on top. The group (10 shots) is shot at 50m and i'm a crappy shot with iron sights. If your gobberment will allow it i can send you a handfull or two of the bullets so you can try them. Jacketed are a bitch because thay are designed for other guns and the crimp groove/cannelure (if any at all) are to far down and you will have to recut it. Expencive piece of kit! Here are some 170gr Hornady i did: Oh, almost forgot my dieset are RCBS Cowboy series. This means that they have an expander die as well, a must when loading lead bullets.
