247sniper
If anyone is thinking about getting a .22 hornet this may be of some interest for you? I took this video a while back and thought id upload it just to show and demonstrate how effective and accurate this little round can be. Excellent accurate and performance from just 13.2 grains of powder. Steve. http://youtu.be/SJWGmU7vm0k
ChrisF
Similar to MY hornet set up , I am using 13.0gr of Lilgun powder over a 40gr vmax , getting 3000fps , and thats with 2 inches cut off barrel ,, ie its a 20 incge barrel now , with a little MAE SS 22mag can , and using a Bushy LRHS 3-12x44mm scope . Its deadly on the farm , magpies hate IT , if I can see them they are toast . My hand loads are too long for the magazine , thats about the ONLY negative thing so far . 247sniper
Hi Chris, Yes sounds very similar fella. Great combo for performance and cost to run. It's such an underrated caliber, but I think the problem ls that people just buy a cartridge that is easier to operate up the likes of these distances, like .222, .223, .204 or the likes. If you know your rifle shots like this are done dusted with plenty of velocity and energy to make the shots humane. Hope yeh video was useful and interesting for you buddy.
