Foxshooter
So, having smashed the pig and treated myself to a Garmin Xero chrono I find myself in need of a suitable carry case to protect my investment. I have seen a friend use a Pelican 1040 case for his but are there any other/better options? Show me how you carry yours? Mark

Re-Pete
And I added one of these for good measure...https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/196505911911 Very easy to apply, and does the trick. Pete
Foxshooter
Thanks everyone, definitely some food for thought, especially the screen protectors! you’d have thought for £500 they’d have supplied something more than a cardboard box! Scotch_egg
One thing I will say about the pick and pluck cases is buy larger than you think you need. I have the case that @No i deer has linked and it fits my kestrel 5700 in as well. Both fit with enough room. The case @Re-Petehas shown looks like the contents is bursting out at the edges. I haven't a photo to hand or I would post.

Foxshooter
Well I got myself one of the hard cases as recommended. It cost me £8 from eBay and is spot on! I also got a screen protector for a couple of quid. Thanks for the pointers. I think it was £15 well spent to protect a small but expensive piece of kit! I think Spud is missing a trick not selling these things alongside the chrono. You'd think that for £530 retail Garmin would have included more than a cardboard box!
