Miseryguts
Hi, Just started wet tumbling my brass. Got one of the Frankford Arsenal Light units as although I reload a lot of calibres, I do not usually have more than 100 cases at a time. My daft question is how many steel pins are required? Most suppliers sell them in small (1 to 1.5lb) or large (5lb) lots - small seems a bit parsimonious, large seems an overkill (and a lot of pins to pick up and dry off) So how many is right??? (Answers on a postcard please) M - Keeping his head above water in wet Monmouthshire

Mattnall
I have a 15lb Thumler's tumbler and I think it has about 2kg/5lb of pins in it. I don't bother drying the pins off after rinsing them clean, they are stainless and I have left them wet for several weeks and no rust at all. If I leave the lid off they will eventually dry out. True stainless isn’t magnetic,( 316 grade ) . So probably best to dry them out .
