Import duties/Paper work

Hi all

I've recently ordered a gunstock from Boyds, apart from the VAT and enviable import duties will there be some other paperwork to fill in and send off?

No ,the Carrier Will phone to let you know the duty (very little)and the vat/postal costs which you pay and they then deliver.Mine came via UPS.All straightforward and took less than a fortnight from placing the order.

That was not my experience with a Boyds gunstock shipped by UPS

On it's arrival in the UK, I had to complete a lengthy form explaining that it was a stock and not a pressure bearing part of a firearm

The final cost to get the stock in my sweaty palm was the same in pounds as the price in dollars on the Boyds website - and that was before the pound fell of the cliff against the dollar

Strange that Bruce as it was as easy as anything from beginning to end.It was some 18 months ago.

I had a delivery last month from the States via UPS, not a Boyd’s stock but was rifle furniture. 

My experience was very similar to Bruce with forms to complete and info sent off for customs.

Dito (no Boyds) But UPS SUCK lots of paperwork and copies of FAC (for non controlled items) and You pay all the fees as you should, AND then ups want a stupid fee for doing this..

Agreed, Boyds are not the problem, it's the UPS people at East Midlands Airport who don't have clue.

Just to let you all know the stock turned up today, I did have to fill in a form but that took all of 60 seconds electronically, as said the worst part was dealing with UPS talk about a piss up in a brewery but all done now, thanks to all that steered me in the right direction
