6mm br advice

Hi getting rifle re barrelled in 6mm br, looking to shoot 108g eld-m, 26inch barrel looking some information on what powder, I have n140 and  n150 any other information or tip appreciated as I am new to 6mm br,

N150 is a good powder for 105gr bullets, I would expect it will also work well with 108s, N140 might be too fast for the heavies.

Ive never tried N540 but H4895 works well as does Varget with 105s but sadly neither are easy to get now.

It might be worth noting that the UKBRA 1000 yard record for a five-shot group now measures 2.322 inches and was shot with a 6BR using Vit N140 powder. The group was shot by Mr David Sharp in August.

No it's not - N140 works perfectly well, and damn accurately with the 107 SMK...as well as with 103 eld-x....at least in my rifle

Try both powders, and test

I tried N140 with 105s in my 6BRA and it didn't like it at all, poor accuracy and the pressure spiked very quickly.

Digressing somewhat I know, but should you want to run bullets as light as 70 grains in your BR in the future, N140 does very well with them too.

Nothing spectacular, but still shoots well at 2750 fps.

before that  the record group was also shot with 105 bergers with N140 by Gary Stewart at diggle.

By reading this either viht 140 or 150 will do the job well

N140 is the closest to Varget on the powder burning-rate charts. When my Varget stock dries up that's where I'll be going.

Both 140 and 150 in abundance around my neck o' woods

Had my best results with N140 in 6br, even over Varget.
