Re-Pete
Make your own cleaning patches for a fraction of the cost of the commercial types. 1" wad punch with the top cut off so it would fit between the jaws of my vice, a roll of 4x2 from Kranks, and a 4" square bit of 3mm alluminium. I won't insult your intelligence by going into details of how to use the punch..............suffice it to say I've made hundreds of these patches, and the one size fits 223 singly, double up for 6mm and 6.5mm. furrybean
Can you not just cut the forbeetoo in half and get a jag to suit? Nice idea though
Akeld
I'd agree with the above comment, 4x2 for the .308, 2x2 for the .224 varieties, cutting it in half is less time consuming
Catch-22
I do the same as above. Those felt rolls last forever. I cut into strips, rather than use a punch. It works really well on a jag, or over a bronze brush for getting at the neck/shoulder junction and throat. Effective on carbon rings. 👍
Re-Pete
I already had the Pro-Shot pointy 22 jag that came with the one (and only) bag of Pro-Shot patches that I bought........ Pete
