VarmLR
People fret too much over barrel break in from hammer forged or button rifled barrels imho. I simply clean a new barrel to remove proof house fouling, and so if desired can inspect the barrel using a borescope to make sure from new it's in a decent state, then just go and shoot the thing. As long as you don't go mad and wreck the throat from rapid fire, I can't see any real difference between the barrel's I followed careful break in procedures on and the ones I just shot. My Tikkas were just shot and remain as accurate today as the day I bought them.
