Have seen similar articles in the daily papers for years usually after a circus has closed down . Don’t remember anything about tigers getting rescued as they’re always very well fed and taken care of  so they don’t take a chunk out of the trainer or other animals . Saw some lovely big cats at the Durrel zoo on jersey years back and they just paced around the edge of the cage wearing a path away without grass looking very bored . Big animals should not be kept in enclosure s especially as they’re used to roaming massive areas of land in the wild . Born in captivity animals could be argued to be different but it’s still not a good way to treat them  . So sad .
