Just beautiful Sir,

Love the No.1 ( Farquhason -sp?)  action and a very nice tasteful finish you have had done.

Have you looked at the Hicks tuner, has worked on a couple for friends No.1's (also a simple preloaded shim fix works.)

Concur with a 45-70 version being a neat idea?

Loverly job,  I want one in 45-70,  you can really stoke them up!

You can, though you don't need to.  I did like my No.1 in 45-70. Often regret selling it.

They are charming yet functional rifles and the OP's is one of the most charming I can recall seeing. Truly special.

Great looking No1.

Where did you get the picatiny rail, I’m looking for one for a tropical in .375H&H so I can mount a red dot.

Cheers,

Sold my no1 action a while ago, that had a  Kepplinger on it, wish I still had  it for my latest project 300norma/7mm.

Built a  No1  in 7mm practical with a 30" barrel, performance  was impressive, but I think the  300/7mm will be  better.

Very nice rifle. The Ruger no1 has a place in my heart, currently 4 reside with me. There is something to be said for hunting with a single shot rifle and ammunition you loaded at the bench.🙂
