Just wondering if anyone can help me out! I've got a Sako75 in 6mm PPC with a 1-12 twist, and I've managed to work up quite a nice load with 58gr V-max.

The question is if anyone can tell me what weight bullet I could stabilise with this twist rate! I'd really like to try something heavier!

Thanks.

Berger website shows the 80g FB Varmint bullet stabilised by a 1:12 twist.

Stabilisation is more dependent on bullet length than weight so that must be a stubby little number.

Most bullet manufacturers websites will list the recommended twist rates for each bullet

Thanks, there are a few things to consider there!

I'll update the spreadsheet and correct the screen capture (I cut off the heading row) later when I get time.
