Foxwhistler88
Just wondering if anyone can help me out! I've got a Sako75 in 6mm PPC with a 1-12 twist, and I've managed to work up quite a nice load with 58gr V-max. The question is if anyone can tell me what weight bullet I could stabilise with this twist rate! I'd really like to try something heavier! Thanks. The Gun Pimp
Most 6PPC benchrest rifles have a 1 in 13 to 1 in 15 twist with 1 in 14 being preferred by most. This will stabilise up to 68 grain FB bullets.

Leeman
Berger website shows the 80g FB Varmint bullet stabilised by a 1:12 twist. Stabilisation is more dependent on bullet length than weight so that must be a stubby little number. Most bullet manufacturers websites will list the recommended twist rates for each bullet

I'll update the spreadsheet and correct the screen capture (I cut off the heading row) later when I get time.
