Plastic type, need help !

Hi All,

Would anyone know what type of plastic is used to make stock lop spacers, for an Ai, Trg, etc. Its a rigid plastic and black..which I know is complete cobble when it comes to the plastic type and structure. I want to get a little creative with a need I have and want to source some plastic of that type, but I am buggered if I know what kind of plastic it is.

My guess is different materials by different manufacturers.  What's it for, maybe someone could suggest a suitable plastic?

PVC & ABS is flexible, easily welded and easy to machine.

Nylon is tough but not weldable (I think), it is a bugger to get a decent finish when machining.

Carbon composite is basically strand/mat/powder in epoxy resin or sometimes cheaper polystyrene resin

Delrin or Acetal maybe. I use Acetal rod up to 2.5" but no sheet. Acetal and Delrin machine well but not so good if trying to sand to size.
This is where I get my plastic from although not sure about small quantities - could always ask for an off cut sample.
