Air rifle restorers: Any recommended?

l still own my first ever rifle, a 1969 BSA Super Meteor in .22, serial number TE 315**

lt’s in rag order, and currently resides in pieces in my garage, the legendary “box of bits” that every gunsmith dreams of receiving to be worked on... 😂

My question: Does anyone know of a reputable, trained, experienced air rifle restoration expert who could breathe new life into the treasured companion of my formative years?

l would be willing to spend a reasonable three-figure sum; what l don’t want is somebody’s brother-in-law with a hammer and a rusty set of carpenter’s screwdrivers, or “my mate Geoff down the pub”.

Thoughts, gents?

Get on the Book of Faces
There is a chapter of doom called Lost Volume
Most of the better restorers and the like hang around there

Happy to post the Q. on there for you if it's easier for you

Thanks for the kind offer.

l don’t “do” any form of social media; l was hoping for someone with a website.

OK Maximus

I have asked the question on said FB group
Will see who replies, etc.

SHOULD be the group who can suggest the best bloke to get the job done!

We WILL need some "before" photos on here first, prior to shipping it off, so we can compare them with what you receive back...

Thanks!

If l take anyone up on an offer, before and after pics will be published!

Well.
Consensus on the tuner site is a chap called Nick Simmons is likely the best one to chat to about it, so I will pass on his contact info once he has forwarded it to me.
Hope you get it sorted

👍

Thanks for your efforts on my behalf.

Go on to the AirgunsBBS forum "collectors" section, you will find the best specialists in the UK reside there.

There are people there who collect and restore BSA's.

Best of Luck

Have Fun

Thanks, I'll have a look. I think I'm still a member on AirgunBBS...
