Farmer rick
Hi guys, I am looking to develop some loads for a 222, as I have discovered I have a 1:9 twist, so thought it might be worth playing around with some variations above the 50gn mark... I have a friend who's bench I will be using for the loading, but wondered if anyone had views on what dies / brand to buy, Lee do a set around £35 for all 3... Redding about £85... Thoughts? gunner
depends what are you wanting ? ultimate precision or average ? im not saying lee wont deliver good accuracy . iv used them when i started loading but i only use redding type S bushing for the neck . a body / shoulder bump die . and competition seating die . they will cost way more than lee but you know they produce straight ammo as in 3thou run out worst case . so it may be a price factor to it . lee is prob worth a try , as i could produce really good accuracy once you have found / tested a good few loads ? but good luck to it
