Lil'gun and the 17 Hornet

Awaiting delivery of a CZ527 17 Hornet and am taking the opportunity to research possible powders/loads. I have some Lil'gun that I used (very successfully) in my 22 Hornet, however a number of articles suggest it doesn't suit the 17. Others suggest it is fine, but not in the recommended Hodgton loads. The latter are 9.7-10gr, but some folk are experiencing pressure signs when using loads above 9.4gr. I'm interested to know if anyone has found reduced loads from say 9-9.4gr ok?

I found lilgun a little hot for the .17 hornet, like you said it was perfect in the .22 hornet.!

I’ve been using IMR 4227 For the past 4 years but not sure if it’s availability these days as I don’t think it’s reach compliance.!

One of my mates is using a lovex powder in his,I’ll find out which one and get back to you
