Paul Cat
Made first use of my new Axiom LRF spotter this morning while trying to get in to position on a deer permission pre-dawn. How have I managed without thermal vision before now? Never mind just using it in the dark, I had it glued to my eye well after sun-up as it was revealing things that I would otherwise have not seen, even with binoculars. I cannot wait to get out and use it again on rabbits, foxes and again pre-dawn and early morning on the deer. Somehow those scopes that I always thought were well out of my budget are looking awfully tempting.
GT3_richy
Different world, isn't it... Crazy the stuff you see with thermal you wouldn't have otherwise.
Paul Cat
Saddler, if you can get a thermal rifle scope for £1000 I'll have a dozen! Are you sure it wasn't IR?
Paul Cat
They're great for rats. Someone I know who looks a lot like me and wears my clothes once shot a 'small rat' in a barn using IR. Although it was 'only' a 30ft/lb air rifle it cut the poor thing in half. Turned out to be a mouse. 🙄
