Caselife annealing machine

Hi all

Just wondered if anyone is using one of the above for annealing there brass and what your thoughts are on it?

I'm wanting to get an automated annealer so i can start annealing my cases.

Would love to be that well off that i could just blow some £££'s on a AMP annealer but simply couldnt justify it.

Or has anyone got any other recommendations or words of wisdom?

Thanks for any help

I would concur with the post above ☝️

I got one of those annealers from Lubo a few years ago and it’s great. It just works!

I have .308w and .338L discs and I anneal .223ai, 6.5x47, .303, 30-06, .300wm and .338Norma Mag without issue. I like to do a bulk batch and it’s very quick and efficient.

I have one that works ok. I seem to get consistent results but the speed control with nylon wheels is a little coarse.

Ultimately you get what you pay for and I’d describe the case life as the Ford Escort of annealing machines, it does what it says on the tin but not with much style.

I have a friend who has designed and built his own version with better quality components, I can put you in touch with him via pm as he’d happily make another I’m sure which would still be a Ford, but more like a Granada rather than an Escort....

Hi all

was reading the Brian litz books regarding cases and accuracy and it seems not much difference after the first couple of firings for 308 etc . Regularily get upto 20 reloads in 308 then ditch the lot and buy new cases . You could get lots of new sets of cases for the price of an AMP . Only my take on things / opinion .

Merry Christmas and a happy new year to all

I use Caselife and it is ok when you get to know it. I had to upgrade bottom wheel to aluminium because nylon was melting if you doing a lot of brass ( and I was initially). Upgrade cost me six pack of Guinness for my mate to make two new wheels (308 and pistol) 😁

I use Tempilaq to get the right temperature.
