Well, I realise this is statistically valid as a feeling in my water,  and I'm afraid I stopped just after I started due to it starting to snow....

I wanted to see what, if anything a 'tight rubber band' deresonator might do.

Group on the right is 'without bands'... then did one on left 'with bands' ( and then, annoyingly, I packed in) ..... the left group is typical of the better groups (25%) I get with the rifle.. it was just felt odd that it happened straight after I put the bands on, and despite the weather deterioration...I know, chance... but interesting if it turns out to be repeatable

Excellent - what make of rubber bands should I use and have you considered differing rubber compounds?   😂

seriously,  it's an interesting outcome, I look forward to further testing

😂  Royal Mail .. nothing else will do

The best!  I must be on a 'node' of the postman's delivery route wrt bundle size so plenty of gathered discarded bands.  Of course the critical question is what colour band?

so you’re developing’ a version of the Hicks tuner/ Freelend forend (of 52E fame)/ ‘SmartStock’ system I.e.applying strategic pressure 😉😁 - can I do an online version of the (small cough) and refer to my earlier post 😘

Sort of.. but I'm seeing deresonation rather than pressure points  - I think the hicks thing was a hard spot aiming to change transverse wavelength? My mind is focusing on ways of reducing the amplitude  of the doughnut

:) I believe Major Fulton use cork in his regulated Mk 4 rifles.

Here's someone using O rings:

I was visualising 5 all hard against each other - like a segmented limbsaver ..... ideally, they'd be sorbothane, but I think silicone will have the nearest properties for something easy to get and cheap?
