Strangely Brown
I'm sniffing around the fringes of match rifle at the moment and wondered what the favourite choice of bullet weight is currently? The intended choice of barrel is 34" with a 1-10 twist.

Scrumbag
Unless you’re Shooting Any Rifle (which I’m having a punt at on Weds) has to be 308W. Think ~200gr and something like RS60 is quite popular if you’re going to Bisley drop me a PM Scrummy
Strangely Brown
Only a nutter would want to try .223 at 1200 yards!
Scrumbag
Not sure how you’d keep it above transonic. 90 gr bergers and a 1:7 twist maybe?
GeorgeB
The Berger 30 Cal 210 Gr Match Long Range BT has been a popular bullet for match rifle as it is very jump-tolerant and groups well back to 1200x. It has been recently discontinued and replaced by the 208 gr Long Range Hybrid Target, which has a higher BC, developed specifically for F-TR shooters who are looking for tiny groups at 1000x. I would stick with the 210 LRBT for match rifle, at least while they are still available.
meles meles
Might we suggest you take a peek at Mistral -T bullets from http://mmeriflebullets.co.uk ? We use them in several calibres, the Wimbledon Match bullets too, and have been very impressed by them. Peter, the maker, is also very open to tweaking them to suit your own particular needs. I use Peters Wimbledon match 185gr and love them, I couldn't get the mistrals to run fast enough
