Countryboy
Hi everyone, I'm keen to get myself a thermal but cant quite warrant splashing out 2k or 3k on something just yet for the amount of shooting I do. Been looking at the axion series from pulsar, from what I can tell theres not much difference in the xm22 and xm30 other than the xm30 having a focusable objective lens. Id like to know how much difference this makes? Theres £300ish difference in the price tag but the xm22's seem to be out of stock everywhere at the moment! Do I wait for the cheaper xm22 or spend a bit more and get the xm30 with added focusable objective? Il be using this for ratting, rabbiting and foxing, all I want is to be able to detect heat sources as I have decent night vision for identification. Thanks for any replys 👍👌
phoenix
Detection range and target resolution are affected by the size of the objective lens. A bigger lens will give more detection range and higher target resolution. I'd definitely go for the xm30 Cheers Bruce
shoppe
Hi. I have the XM38 and is is really really good. My foxing is done mainly at very early morning just now. Out at 4.00am for about 3 hours . I hate to use this quote but if really is a game changer . Unfortunately it is discontinued. I do not know why. I would not be without one now.
