I loaded some 120gr amaxs for him maybe 2 years ago and he hasn't gone out with his 6.5x55 since to shoot it. It was a low round count standard varmint..

Not sure if it was 20 or 24 inch..

Got him on the orange disc.

Made the adjustments  and fired 2 shots. 2 nice shots..

Chronied 3 which have 12fps ES.

Only prob was it chronied 2750fps.. it shoots great so I will leave it for now..I've gotta pull one to check the powder weight as I didn't write that down doh 😂

Sorted his bal cal.

We moved farms.

I dropped him off to shoot from a stack of silage bales and I drove a few fields to my spot.

Getting my rifle out and I heard a shot..

He had a Charlie strait away 😁.

Why is 2750 a problem?

It's not really a problem but I kind of expected it to be faster..

I'm not familiar with the cartridge, bullet and barrel length..

After a mate ran a quick load the velocity is on the money aswell as the accuracy...

Saved alot on messing getting lucky with the load first time out 😳🤠

I get why it's slow...!!

For some reason I expected it about 100fps faster.

I pulled a cartridge and weighed the charge which was 46grs of N160 that was producing around 100fps faster than the quickload prediction 🤔
