ROGER & SPENCER main spring

Recommended Posts

Looking for some assistance:  Went shooting for the first time since lockdown yesterday and after 12 shots my Roger & Spencer muzzle loader snapped the main spring.

Henry Krank, the usual source, has no spares and doesn't expect any.   I've contacted S&S in the States to see what they have (nothing on their website).

Before I embark on manufacturing one for myself has anyone got any useful ideas or places to try for a spare?

👍

They’ve done various bits of work for me over the years.... not least to my inherited Blanch hammer gun which included taking half the pull weight out of one of the mainsprings.....

This was the recent thread on their work over on SD

New spring made and fitted.  That was a lot cheaper and easier than feared.
