SMLE
For sale is my Wildcat Evolution with a 6.5 baffle set and 5/8 unf bridge. Used on my Howa 6.5 creedmoor for about 12 months and had somewhere between 900 to 1200 rounds through it (I lost count 2 or 3 Bisley trips ago)! I perfect condition, stripped and cleaned after every outing and always assembled with copper slip grease. I’m looking for £140 but open to offers and you’ll need the slot on your FAC of course. Face to face near to where I live, Nuneaton, Kingsbury range or at Bisley about once each month. Alternatively, I guess RFD to RFD with negotiation. Princemeister
Is that definitely unf ? I’m after unef 5/8 x 24. I’ll have it if it is. Mark
SMLE
The bridge unit has 5/8 UNF cast into it (see photo) I believe Howa varmint barrels are 5/8 x 24, I know it fits mine but after that you’ve exhausted my engineering know how 😁 Any good? Popsbengo
I may be able to shed some light on this: There's no 5/8-24 UNF listed in "ANSI B1.1 Thread Data" charts - that's 5/8-18 5/8-24 is UNEF
SMLE
Just counted the threads. I make it 9 threads over half an inch. That’s 5/8 x 18 Just to confirm, it fits my Howa 1500 in 6.5 creedmoor
Princemeister
That’s definitely unf. Thanks anyway.

Kipper
I'm going to ask a silly question but I'm not a big moderator man.. I have a howa heavy varmint so it will fit but mine is in 223.... will the 6.5 be ok ??
Woodlander
It will work, but not ideal. Calibre specific is preferable, better sound attenuation. It’s possible this only becomes obvious in a direct comparison with a calibre specific mod, so may be good enough for your application. My first mod was an ASE Utra, rated up to .25 and was on a .222, it did the job.
