Trigger options for Model 7

I've got a mate (just one) who's got a Remington Model 7 in .223.  He's not getting on with the trigger and asked me to find an alternative.  Originally, he wanted a Trigertech, which look good,but it appears they're mainly made for the 700 series not the Model 7.  Its got to be adjustable down to 1lb and its got to have a safety.  I've been through Timney and Jewell, (expensive)but are there any other credible options for this model? All advice accepted gratefully
