Moorlander
I`ve notice Norma offer V-MAX ammunition , am I right in assuming they are using bullets heads from Hornady? V-MAX Norma

Moorlander
I would guess Norma factory loads would be more consistent and maybe more expensive , I`ll have to try a box of each sometime.
banus02
good morning ,yes norma use hornady vmax bullets as do sellier and bellot, the only difference is s+b use green tips but they are made by hornady.i i am also informed that hornady supply bullets to winchester and federal and other ammo makers. nosler do the same thing. VarmLR
Just compare that MV in 40gr to factory .204😉 Hornady sell superformance 40gr .204 loads claiming 3900fps but I've seen examples tested at closer to 3600fps (probably down to a shorter barrel than factory tested). That just reinforces the versatility of 223 imho. I've been using 60gr Vmax bullets for years. Fantastic vermin control bullets.
