I have an old  faithful 1200 deluxe in 243 win, It''s put more meat in the freezer than I can remember, it wasn't new when I acquired it and I have no idea how many rounds have been through it. 

Has anyone else here got a similar rifle?

I had one years ago, heavy barrel 243.  Very accurate and in mint condition. I sold it to a trainee keeper.  After a few weeks I seen him and asked to see it(actually thought about buying it back) when he showed it to me it was covered in rust.  I asked if he had ever heard of a oily cloth, to which he said "awk the oil would sent my traps"
