Miseryguts
Hi, fed up with getting standard(Tufnut) media out of my 223 cases and primer flash holes - does the stainless pin media work in a standard tumbler or do I have to buy a new tumbler for wet tumbling? Where can I get the stainless media in UK? Also I seem to remember someone using rice as a tumbler medium - any one tried it, and will it get the inside of a 223 case clean? Thanks Miseryguts

phaedra1106uk
Don't use SS pins in a vibratory tumbler, best media is fine reptile bedding, you can get it off eBay or your local Pets at Home type store.
The Gun Pimp
I used the pins in a roller tumbler - Lyman - see write-up on www.targetshooter.co.uk The pins did a super job - even cleaning primer-pockets and inside necks. Much more effective than media I've used in a vibrating cleaner.
