sharps4065
Well..... It's said that rules are for the guidance of wise men and the blind observance of fools! I contacted the NRA today about zeroing and subsequent checking of a .204Ruger. I know it's over their "limits" as far as MV is concerned so I thought I'd ask for permission even though it's painfully obvious the calibre falls well short of any possible problem. But I try to play the game when I can..... And this what I got back from their Safety, Legal and Technical Services bod.... "Thank you for your email regarding a dispensation for firing a Ruger .204”. I’m afraid the short answer is no. The reason is we have no information on which to judge the ricochet and splashback characteristics of the projectile, so we cannot say with certainty whether it is safe in any particular circumstance. If you know of an authoritative and verifiable source for that information and can provide a link to it, then we can consider the issue." Anybody know of "an authoritative and verifiable source"......???????? Clive
