ADL to BDL

What would I need to convert a Rem 700Adl to a Bdl model?Not keeping Adl stock but replacing with a Bdl model.Any idea of cost or is it better economy to find a replacement Adl stock?Regards Toby

Readily available parts.

 

BDL floorplate.

 

Magazine box (pressed steel)

 

Follower (use one from ADL)

 

Mag spring (use ADL)

 

 

Bout £60 all in from midway.....or find second hand - I have quite a few bits for S/A BDL systems - not sure if I have a BDL floorplate though - I can check if you want.

You would probably be as cheep doing a detatchable mag conversion. Thats what I did to mine I think the conversion kit cost about £50.

how big a job would it be putting a mag box into my 700 vssf

could it upset the guns performance does it purtrude to far out

or would it just be to much hassle for no real benifet

I cant remember where I got the mag conversion from ebay if memory serves me right but I think they have put restrictions on sending weapon parts over seas. It is fairly straight forwards if you get a BDL stock. I am sure you could do it to an /ADL but it would take a lot more work to convert and the ADL stocks are not that good to be worth doing the work to them.
