mole-e30
Hi All Well Sunday saw the start of the 2014 1000 yard season at Diggle and we had a massive turnout, so well done to all who turned up. The weather was...... WINDY! The big boomers were shooting with 6 MOA wind on and then there were the lulls. So there were some large groups to be had. We also had the new Heavy gun class, shooting 10 shot groups to make life very interesting. I will say that shooting 10 shot groups is not twice as hard as a 5 shot group, more like 4 times harder. We all had fun, there was some great hillarity in the butts in the afternoon, with Spud showing us some Tigger skills bouncing up and down trying to reach the top of the frame to get markers in. Anyway, enough writing, here are the results Factory Sporter 1st Stuart Benson 6BR Savage 16.054 inches (ave of four, 5-shot groups)2nd David Leslie 6.5-284 Savage 18.2833rd Alan Seagrave 6.5x55 Tikka 20.08Small group David Leslie 10.821 inchesLight Gun 1st Sean Broxham 6.5-284 Stolle 11.640 inches (ave of four, 5-shot groups)2nd Vince Bottomley 7mmWSM BAT 12.1213rd Mike Weatherhead 7mmWSM Sako 12.575Small group Martin Eldershaw 6mm 6.5x47 Stolle 7.00 inchesHeavy Gun 1st Mark Ellis 284 BAT 12.995 inches (ave of two 10-shot groups)2nd Simon Drake 284 Barnard 17.6673rd Ronnie McGowan 6.5-284 RPA 18.293Small group Mark Ellis 12.854 Full results will be posted when they are all typed up.
