  2. Hi guys, Secondhand R93 barrel here, picked up a few days ago. 300win mag Firing factory ammo (145grain PPU) I'm getting marks on the shoulder of the brass in a few places. Is this going to be a long term problem? I've left wipe out in over night and given the chamber a scrub with a .410 mop but it's not improved. I've been offered a refund but finding these barrels isn't too easy for an older rifle so would like to sort the problem if possible. FYI these marks are not on the unfired cases.
  3. Hi all. Ive approx 400 GGG 308 brass. Its been Wet Tumbled and more importantly the Military Crimp has been Swaged out. Looking for £12 per 100. Deliver is at cost depending on how many you want or you can collect from Fareham.
  4. As I had great results with GGG ammo, I plan on using the brass I accumulated (both .223 and .308). I also managed to buy a 1000 new .223 GGG cases for 20p a piece... What is Your opinion on it? Have anyone measured and compared it's capacity with comercially available cases? I know "military" stuff can have smaller capacity and require load reduction.... One thing i noticed is that the neck is thinner (~0.010") compared to Lapua (~0.015"). TIA, Michal
  5. Doing my research regarding reloading I spoke with a couple of guys I know who are all decent shooters... They all have different ways of doing stuff, especially when it comes to brass preparation. Some full length resize and anneal after every shot, some just wash the brass in an ultrasonic cleaner and call it a day... How do You prep Your brass? Michal

  9. Lapua's 6.5 Creedmoor is here! We are happy to announce the addition of the 6.5 Creedmoor case to the Lapua line! Despite a relatively short time on the marketplace, the 6.5 Creedmoor has made a tremendous splash in the field, rapidly becoming one of the most requested cases we hear about from shooters. Lapua's 6.5 Creedmoor is designed to function in a short action, which is also a plus for hunters, vitally concerned with the rifle’s weight and compactness. In fact, many of the same features which make for a successful competition cartridge, translate nicely to the hunting fields as well. For most species of mid-size game such as deer or boar, the Creedmoor will prove to be a deadly performer. And while the selection of high grade Match bullets in the 6.5 bore size is tremendous, there’s no shortage of exceptionally good hunting bullets either. The 6.5's as a group have always been known as excellent performers on game. Made with Lapua’s typical dedication to precision, our new 6.5 Creedmoor case has been refined just a bit, to make it an even better performer. We’ve opted for the small rifle primer, which normally produces an optimized ignition and better accuracy than large primers in mid-sized cartridges like the Creedmoor. We’ve also incorporated our smaller diameter flash hole (1.5mm, rather than the industry standard 2.0mm), which has proven to provide enhanced accuracy, and is used in a number of our other accuracy oriented cases. In this respect, the new 6.5 Creedmoor joins the ranks of our other dedicated accuracy cartridges such as the .220 Russian (6mm PPC), the 6mm BR Norma, the 6.5x47 Lapua and the .308 Win. Palma cases. And naturally, the new 6.5 Creedmoor will be made with our well known Passion for Precision. Strictest control over the metallurgy, the forming and drawing processes, precise annealing all performed under the watchful eyes of our production experts. For you, the handloader, that means the durability for which our cases are famous, combined with consistency and long life. Already proven in competition, we predict that the 6.5 Creedmoor will be a force to be reckoned with for many years to come. In stock now £99.99 inc free P+P for UKV members
  10. Good morning ladies and gents, Now I know I've been round this buoy before, but I STILL can't find a supplier fro .22 Hornet brass and I've reloaded all of my cases so many times that they are getting pretty "tired" now! I've had a couple of hundred cases on back-order for months (a lot of months) and none of the usual suppliers have turned up with the goodies yet! Is there anyone out there that can supply .22 Hornet brass???? Cheers, Lee.

    Case trimming help .

Now i'm just starting to learn the ropes with reloading i've got the Rcbs rockchucker kit and a few little bits and have read a couple reloading books and watched lots on you tube but i started resizing my brass with my FL dies and written lots down as i go. I'm reloading 223, now my FL die resize's my brass to 1.757 most of the time depending on brass and my Hornady manual says i need to case trim to 1.750 ok i thought so i tried using my Lee cutter and lock stud as you would but i'm still not getting to the 1.750 i can only get it down to 1.754, so do i need to get a new case trimmer or will this be ok. I don't want to go any further until i'm on the right path.
