  1. Thanks for the replies, I’ll get it done, if it does go south, I’ll just rebarrel it. But hopefully it should be fine..🤞
  2. Question for the gunsmiths out there, I have a Rem 700 VSSF in 22/250, the gun is a solid .5 moa gun,(even after 1000 rnds) but combined with a north star mod is very nose heavy and quite cumbersome for nighttime use, I fancy having the 26” barrel cut to 22” and changing the mod for something lighter, in your experience with regard to the rifle barrels you have cut down, can cutting a know accurate 26” barrel down to 22” ruin the accuracy? looking forward to hearing your thoughts/ experiences.. Thanks BB.
  3. I've owned .204, .223 6mmbr and .243 and have also used .17 rem and .222, but I have used a .22/250 for the last five years and I have to say it just does the job. I reload but even if I didn't most shops keep ammo which can't be said of exotics like .204 and .17 rem.
  4. Up on the edge of the moors where I shoot, 100 in a couple of hours with the rimfire is no problem.
