I once owning an ex-army “air portable” Land Rover. In its instruction book was a chapter on how to destroy the vehicle if it had to be abandoned. Seemed pretty sensible? Irrespective of which president signed the orders (one as bad as the other) the withdrawal should have included destruction of the kit as this will be turning up in conflict zones for decades - credible evidence shows it already has.

No need to export any more - the attached image is an inventory of the kit abandoned by Joe Biden in Afghanistan. I'm sure that there isn't anything for us to worry about in this lot...

On my gun, using an appropriate Allen key to move the factory fitted stud (it’s screwed into a sub assembly in the stock) out a small amount allows use of most q/d fittings. Once you find what works a bit of thread lock doesn’t hurt.

Agreed - you would need to spend twice as much to gain any (minor) advantage. Only slight criticism is that the American manufacturers give better warranties but the Euro norm seems to be any ten years.
