London practical shooting club.prone shooting.whatever the hme max limit is I guess.biggest ive seen used is 300 win mags.any bipod you like.As Paul pointed out I use a mystic bipod on one rifle too keep the rifle as low as possible as that's how I like to shoot.i use a super short bipod on another rifle as silly me sold my AI bipod .big mistake . I will be trying out my new rebarreled 7mm saum on our next 1000yds club day.i have got a accushot monopod on the KRG whiskey 3 stock to try with the pheonx bipod.if I am not comfortable with it I will fold in the monopod take off the pheonix and use the mystic pod

    Muroms for magnums

Another question to the experts. These muroms seem very popular with the f classers and way cheaper than the BR2's that have become silly moneys as the BR4's. Will the muroms be better in the magnums or equally be suited for my 284.ive not my BR2's left now and need to decide. Cheers No I deer

L.P.S.C 1000yds snapshooting Basic information Shooters must know they elevations. Rear bags are only allowed for zeroing and not in a COF. Monopods are allowed as they are fixed to the rifle. Any bipod but no fancy f class type rests We all zero.zeroing shots are started to be restricted to 5 as it' wasting COF times. We shoot at a fig11s. There is 4 of them on the backer.they are 18 inches wide x 48 inches high. Scoring rings The vbull is 3 inches = 12 points 6 inch ring =10 points 9 inch ring = 8 points 12 ring = 6 points. Anywhere on the fig11 outside the scoring rings = 4 points. 2 shots on one target doesnt count.no more than one hit per target per detail Full COF is 4 siters and 20 to count Short COF is 4 siters and 12 to count. Siter don't score. COF starts and you have 30 seconds for 4 siters if you want them all.after 30 seconds target goes down gets marked.when target reappears you have 60 seconds to see where your shots have gone and then fire 1 shot at each of the 4 fig11s . Target goes down.gets scored and your shots get marked. Next detail is 50 seconds Then 40 secs then 30 secs and final detail is 20 seconds. If anybody wants to come and join us let me know and I will make the arrangements.nobody shoots without a SSC that must be shown at begining of the day when we all sign in and have a range brief. Anybody who turns up late and misses range brief and start of zeroing will not be allowed too zero until all the first COF's are finished as this also wastes COF time that the club is paying for because some can't be bothered to get up and turn in on time as club instructions. Below is Fig11 showing scoring rings

Results from the first 1000yds snapshoot of the year Jan 14th 2018 on stickledown As December shoot forecast was bad again and for those who are fair weather shooters missed out again on a good day.it was dull cold but nearly no wind again which could produce some good scores as most of us arnt the best at wind doping. Fred Cook had the bonus with somebody else putting a shot on his target giving him 21 hits out of 20 shots Gallery shoot in melville in the afternoon.

When is the next benchrest match

Any results from rifle shooting.Bencrest.F class.Practical rifle.CSR.not via Dropbox though....! In the LPSC THE club I shoot with do army type shooting but not much in recent years apart from in the gallery which can be standing.kneeling and sitting.there is a few shooters do that do this that are amazing.when I see their targets I am gobsmacked.one is female shooter. We shoot timed details out too 1000yds prone which is trust me a good test of your shooting ability.it can get rather frustrating and confusing.some of the marking can be very suspect....! years ago we use to shoot from 600yds prone off bad shoulder and good shoulder in some details.using fig11s. Fig12s.fig12a's.fig14s and the Huns head.(McQueens target).we moved away from 600yds as it was easier for us to mark our own targets at 200 and 300yds McQueens saves on paying for NRA markers.this was a gutter for me as I really liked 600yds. This year's fixtures has 2 afternoons on century from 600yds up to June.woohoo which I will take the credit for from constantly asking . Even better it's 1000yds in the morning Oh I forgot there is several practice days on our calender for the methuen competition in the build up to the comp.

    Muroms for magnums

When my H4350 is gone I was looking towards RS62. 2800fps is fine by me.

    Muroms for magnums

I load the 139gr scenars on 39.8grs of H4350 and when I chronied them it was about 2815fps.them too shot superb out to 1000yds.that was a load that seemed the norm after asking around so I loaded them too that and not looked back. The RS60 140gr amax load was chronied when temp was 66f and around 67 humidity so on a warm day that amax could touch 2900fps

    Muroms for magnums

From what I've read from laurie's posts there maybe a gain from using a magnum primers but that may make your load to hot if your on the edge now.alternatively use a creedmore brass with a small rifle primer or last but not least RS60. I ran my hunting load of 140gr amaxs on 39grs and 2850fps was easy.i never tried going higher as accuracy was superb.my 6.5x47 has a 27 inch barrel.offhand I can't remember what time of year I chronied them.i wouldn't be surprised is they would run in excess of 2900fps on it.

    Bullet pointing

I've been thinking about it for a while now and I fancy trying it out more from curiosity. Is it worth spending the money on the tooling or not.if yes what bullet pointer should I buy and why. My press is a Lee challenger if that makes a difference to what pointer i can purchase. Would I need to redevelope my load or will the pointing not change it's current accuracy at say 100yds. Cheers No I deer

    Bullet pointing

Here is a couple of my better 5 shot groupings from yesterdays breaking in the new 7mm rsaum f class profile barrel.i took everything I thought until I looked for the wipeout tactical advantage. I had to just dry patch it.these were unpointed bullets.unfortunetley I leaked one on the scenar group.patched holes were from bore sighting and to getting on with a different load

    tikka t3

Did you try firing the same cartridge again.always wait about 30 seconds after a misfire just in case you get hang fire.not that you didn't already know the that but I thought I'd mention it just incase you didn't.
