  1. True, I forgot that it is made in Australia!
  2. FYI - It’s not illegal to import or sell, it’s purely the fact that a material which was used in its manufacture, 2 -4 dinitrotoluene, has been deemed obsolete due to REACH legislation, hence it can no longer be manufactured.
  3. CTR, it’s a good balance between hunting & target. Yes the mags are more expensive however they’re also far more robust and suited to range use. You may find that weight does matter later on..
  4. 5.11 Tactical Bail out Bag in Flat Dark Earth. Perfect condition, can be used as a range bag or for general out and about. Sold Thanks, Andy
  5. I don’t know sorry, I left the club 2 - 3 years ago when they stopped shooting at Kingsbury.
  6. So which clubs have previous members moved onto / which clubs are still shooting at Kingsbury? It’s a shame to see what has become over the club, I throughly enjoyed my membership while they were still shooting at Kingsbury.
  7. A Sako TRG 22 phosphated rail and 3x screws, I’m not sure if these will fit the T3?This came fitted to my used TRG so I don’t if it’s a genuine Sako item or aftermarket. No longer required as I’ve splashed out on a Spuhr direct mount. £50 Posted
  8. + 1 for Bott. Very good industrial quality but they don’t come cheap.
  9. I missed the part of lead lapping the barrel. Bullet to bore fit is absolutely critical and on .223 you’ve got a 0.025mm tolerance on bullet diameter, this should serve to illustrate this point. Remember that to remove pits you have to remove the material surrounding them, thus increasing the diameter of the barrel. There is a very good chance that you’ll wreck your barrel if you lead lap it!
  10. Any damage is already done so I wouldn’t worry too much about trying to clean any more evidence of corrosion away, if it wasn’t scrubbed off by the bullets I doubt you’ll shift it with a bronze brush. All you can do now if keep on top of it by running an oiled patch through before storage and leave the dry patch until you’re ready to use it again.
  11. Good choice, I had the stainless 308 CTR and it was a brilliant rifle. Sold it for the stainless laminate hunter version for stalking and plan to buy another CTR in 6.5mm for targets.
  12. I also share your frustrations, however I have found that some red dots are worst than others. I had to take a picture of the dot to prove to myself it was me rather than the equipment!
  13. Measure the head diameter in a number of positions, is it oval in the same positions as the primer pocket? I very much doubt you could achieve that with your reloading method!
  14. Hello, I’ve got a virtually new 34mm AI mount for a picatinny rail for sale. Sold Thanks
  15. Hello I’ve got a virtually new Sniper Hider for a 56mm Hensoldt / Zeiss for sale. £100 Posted Thanks
  16. Anything other than FMJ will do the job, from 55gr cheap and cheerful Hornady soft points to 77gr TMK and beyond. I’m using 69gr TMK.
  17. +1 for RS40, 24gr behind the 69gr TMK produces just over 3000fps from my 20” Sako Varmint.
  18. The new Japanese Winchester’s are very nice guns, far better than any of the factory rifles coming out of the states at the moment. I’ve got a recent Marlin 1895 and while it’s a nice gun the general finish isn’t as good as my Japanese 1873 Winchester. You need to strip it down and remove all of the sharp corners or you’ll end up cutting yourself on the loading gate!! My friend has the Henry and it’s very smooth to cycle and shoots well but it’s let down by the barrel finish, It looks like it only saw a sheet of 120 grit paper before being blued!
