  1. Interesting concept for the NRL. Least they have introduced a ‘Hunter’ style match/training event - rather than just a pure NRL/PRL staged match. Unknown distance and realistic targets. Low budget shooting position markers and best use of the available location. Crack on. Well done Yank.
  2. Please send a PM back if you still have the bench for sale. Poss interested. Thank you.
  3. Well done. Thanks for the reply. I like the concept and can see the appeal.
  4. Try source a Q ‘The Fix’ rifle if you can, with double the price tag of a Sig offering - by the time you see one over here. Unless someone has one and can inform on the UK price paid for a Q?
  5. In ‘Murica they are about $1800 ish. Here expect £2200 full price, I’d think £2100 ish once they land and prices will vary a few quid across larger to smaller retailers.
  6. In other circs that would sound odd, strange and slightly perverse. However...it’s you. I get fed that which promotes growth and vigour - biscuits and poorly made tea, as the ‘bad things’ you do to me (no wonder I bring better offerings). Seriously tho slim, it’ll be good to see one of these tricked a bit by the Barnsley Donkey.
  7. Rule of thumb for the flat top for 56mm or 50mm scopes on the TAC A1 or AR platforms - probably wise to go for at least 19mm height (old school lower internal ring point>Pic rail contact point measurement). If going for a Spuhr mount (buy once, cry once) get a 38mm high unit (in the way they choose to measure from the centre tube point>Pic rail contact point) for either 56/50mm objective or 30mm/34mm tubes. Getting built in 6mil/20MOA will still give enough clearance for the scope.
  8. It’s my mate who has this set up. He kept the scope in the end and put it on a new 6.5CM Tikka CTR he treated himself to.
  9. Excellent ex Matelot thinking. I had suggested a 1980’s style Ex Northern Winter deployment mentality to the wife (also ex Forces) of closing up in Defence Watches (6 hours on, 6 off) State 1 Condition Zula Alpha. With off watch Action Stations in full anti-flash and foul weather gear. She declined. The time will come.
  10. It is the reason. It used to be just for ‘Avian Vermin’ but logically got accepted just as Vermin. It’s the Geese bit, despite the Canada’s status - that I still think makes it a grey area for using an FAC Shotgun against them (specifically).
  11. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-leeds-49693003 Not sure how this one will play out. Good or bad Image shows what looks like an FAC Shotgun with the man in the picture they have used for this article Is there not an offence under a number of Acts, in relation to Shotgun mag capacity of only two cartridges for the taking of Wildbirds (without lawful exemption), game or wildfowl in the UK? Regardless of the Canada Goose status. This was also run on the BBC Look North programme on 13/09. There looks to have been the expected backlash locally.
