After trying lots of things for parts cleaning, i use parrafin it doesnt cause any problems with platic aluminium or steel , components are left slightly oily so dont corrode instantly and i havent had any surface finishes damaged .
Also good for its creep ability for stuck chokes or screws

out of those the two i know who i would back

Was an mtr, that shot well but was ammo picky. This has done well with rws and sk. The extra diameter of the barrel plus the extra 4” of schnoobie and tuner means the balance is now sorted
i saw you had the stock for sale i gues its in a chassis now

New Brock and Norris barrel on the Cz457 (highly recommend his work) with a timney trigger.
50m 20 rounds to season the barrel then two groups. The first was looking better than the second until I got excited and pulled the last two.
10 round groups, can’t take the credit as the barrel is spot on. someone else had a go with it and shot a 5 round group that was In between the two groups for sizeshot several more 10 round groups and they all matched the top group or better
which 457 is it (or was it ) ?

The code is commonsense for any decent hand loader, the problem is now many don't comply, and many have been loading for years, and have got away with it, (so far!). Signing a CoP will not change them, and compulsory training won't either, no amount of training will change them, its not they don't know, its that they don't care, and I suspect some clubs will sign them off as a formality, as some do now for SCC's.
In some forms of NRA match competition shooting, loading considerably over the "Reliable Source" loads is common place, and some by people we all would expect to be responsible NRA members, and competitors. The only way to stop that is for the NRA to declare it reckless, dangerous, and if doing it in competition consider it cheating, and to test regularly, and ban offenders. Will it happen? Hmmmm......?
I've attached the CoP for non NRA members :-

i totally agree with your first paragraph , while i was on the comitee of a local club I tried to introduce a record keeping form for hand loaders and bought in a chronograph for club use . It got done twice when visiting the range after which they knew better . They will be handing out scc cards with the update as the remaining comitee members hand load .

Dellboy,
I appreciate the offer, but I’m not sure how feasible it would be and wouldn’t want to inconvenience you.
The supplier details are here https://www.strobl.cz/en/contacts and the actual item is this one https://www.strobl.cz/en/22lr-shell-holder-ch4d_p765no stock

Anyone?
I did find a supplier in Czechoslovakia but they won’t send as we are no longer part of the EU 🤷♂️I was quoted £28 delivery for a £12 shellholder from the US plus whatever charges the U.K. imposes when it lands.
If all else fails, I’ll have to try and make something, but it’s far from my preferred option.
im in czech in November

surely the easiest way to foduce a hollow point would be to use a pillar drill (2 mm drill ) with the 22 supported by a collar ..

Well had another weekend in Czech with Dave (ds1 ) nothing to add except a great weekend went with a first timer from the club and someone who has been twice before .
Even the Ryanair delay at Stanstead couldnt ruin the weekend which went far too quickly .
If you want to learn something and have a great weekend youve got to give it a go ......

When i applied, I put .22 center fire and 6.5 mm on my application, same application.
FEO never mentioned the 6.5mm so left me open to buy any 6.5mm, but asked me specifically what .22 center fire I wanted, go figure.
i had someone with that on their licence when buying i asked them to get their feo to confirm a calibre ..

good to see an affordable well run competition (club)
we donated one of our manufactured cz chassis towards the prizes

I have had club members ask the price of ammo before going to Bisley and they then quote the NRA prices as being cheaper than me . Then ask if i have bought any with me when the shop has either non left or increased the price .
